Consider Volunteering at Temiskaming Hospital
Temiskaming Hospital is seeking candidates to serve on its Board of Directors. The Board plays a critical role in the leadership and governance of the hospital and reflects our diverse communities.
While we invite applications from all those interested in this important role, an effort will be made to balance and compliment those of our existing Board Directors’. We specifically seek skills, knowledge, and expertise in:
• health care system and patient care
• legal / law;
• public affairs and communications;
• fundraising;
• labour relations;
• private and public sector acumen; and
• information technology.
A time commitment of approximately 5-9 hours every other month is expected. We invite applications from strategic thinking leaders who have their principal residence or carry on business within the area served by the Hospital and are interested in using their expertise to make a difference in the health and well-being of our communities. All applicants must; be over the age of 18 years; be fully vaccinated as per the hospital’s Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination policy, support the mission and vision of the hospital; and meet the qualifications as stipulated in Article 4.3 of the Temiskaming Hospital By-Laws.
To assist in your development as a Board Director, a mentoring program is offered and a governance orientation program arranged through the Ontario Hospital Association.
