Would you consider serving on Temiskaming Hospital’s Board?

Temiskaming Hospital is seeking engaged and passionate individuals to serve on its Board of Directors. The Board plays a vital role in the leadership and governance of the hospital and is committed to reflecting the diversity of the communities we serve.

While we welcome applications from all interested individuals, efforts will be made to ensure a balanced compliment of skills and perspectives among current and incoming Board Directors. We are particularly seeking individuals with experience or expertise in the following areas:

  • Legal / Law

  • Labour Relations

  • Health Care System and Patient Care

  • Public Affairs and Communications

  • Fundraising

  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

  • Private and Public Sector Leadership

  • Information Technology

A time commitment of approximately 5–9 hours every other month is expected. We encourage applications from strategic-thinking leaders who reside or conduct business within the Hospital’s service area (exceptions may apply), and are committed to making a meaningful contribution to the health and well-being of our communities.

As part of our commitment to inclusion, we especially welcome applicants who are bilingual (English and French) and those who identify as Indigenous, as we strive to ensure that our Board reflects the diverse population we serve.

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Be fully vaccinated in accordance with the Hospital’s Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

  • Support the Hospital’s mission and vision

  • Meet the qualifications outlined in Article 3.3 of the Temiskaming Hospital By-Laws.

To support your development as a Board Director, we offer a mentorship program and a governance orientation program through the Ontario Hospital Association.

Temiskaming Hospital is a 69-bed acute care community hospital serving residents of the Temiskaming area. More information can be found on our website www.temiskaming-hospital.com.
