Temiskaming Hospital - Ron Scriven, Board Chair
Temiskaming Shores, ON, January 19, 2016 - The Temiskaming Hospital has launched its strategic planning process with its Board. Our theme is “Care Close to Home”. The preliminary directions of the Board include board to board conversations with our hospital partners. “This process has been underway for some time, however we want to take into account that EDH/KDH are leading the way with their integration efforts and we can learn from them.” says Ron Scriven.
“The three hospitals have similar mission and vision/values statements and I believe that we are all leaders in rural northern healthcare delivery.” says Pat Willard-Inglis, Trustee and member of the Finance and Audit Committee.
Once our Board has developed its plan, we will give our CEO direction on the use of our excellent hospital space which should be used for services to patients and families keeping care close to home.
“We will have more to say in late spring about how we can engage the community for their feedback.” says Ron.
